Having just got a new Mac from work and setting it up, your recommendations come at a great time :-) iTerm especially is a real plus - everything just works out of the box as you&#039;d expect (well, if you&#039;re used to X :) like start/end line &amp; copy/paste.</description>

		<description>I can wholeheartedly recommend the Kinesis Freestyle for Mac.  Pricey, but high quality. The keypress feel is very similar to the stock Dell keyboards. It takes some time to get used to a separated, movable keyboard, but it is super comfortable now.  And the Mac shortcut keys are a big win!</description>

		<description>There is a problem with Snow Leopard, VLC and mkv videos. I believe the problem has to do with a subtitle/64bit permissions issue. In any case, the fix is:

sudo chmod a w /usr/X11/var/cache/fontconfig

After running that, the next mkv takes about a minute to load, then every subsequent one loads instantly.</description>
