Leadership Books
I was asked this week to recommend some books on leadership. Once I sat down to respond, I found it wasn’t easy just to recommend a couple of books. So, I’ve come up with a list by area of great leadership books I’ve read (I’ve spent about an hour on this, but I suspect I’ve missed some of my favourite books too). Which books you might be interested in will depend on what aspect of leadership you are interested in. Some of these books are more “management” books, but I think they’re important for prospective leaders too.
- Self-leadership
- Business leadership
- Getting teams to work together
- Setting vision & motivating people
- Leadership when starting a new role
- Giving feedback
- Tough conversations
Probably best place to start is with the “self-leadership” books. I’ve read all of them, so this is just MY list, there are many, many, many books on leadership I’ve never read.
Any other thoughts on good leadership books?
